About the show
Every November, a 1918 seaplane hangar on Miami’s Biscayne Bay waterfront fills with Georgian rings, Art Deco diamonds and vintage Rolex and Patek Philippe watches. The Coconut Grove Jewelry & Watch Show is one of the newest stops on the American antique jewellery calendar. It was planned from the start as a fall partner to the long-running Original Miami Beach Antique Show.
U.S. Antique Shows announced the event in March 2025.. The idea was simple: dealers had been asking for years for a fall show in South Florida. “We need a reputable antique, vintage and estate show in the fall in America,” said Kurt Rothner of the estate jeweller Excalibur in the launch announcement. Show manager Andrea Canady described the new show as bringing back a format that had already proved itself .
The first edition ran 14–16 November 2025. VIP preview tickets cost $200 and a three-day pass cost $20. Members of the trade could qualify for free entry . The 2025 floor plan lists 82 exhibitors. The show returns for its second edition on 13–15 November 2026.
The timing is deliberate. The show falls about two weeks before Thanksgiving, so independent retailers can stock up on estate pieces for the holiday season. Collectors get first look at that same stock, and dealers use the weekend to trade with each other.
The venue
The Hangar at Regatta Harbour was built in 1918 as part of a naval air station on Dinner Key. Today it is an event space that has hosted art fairs, festivals and society events [9]. It sits on the water with bars and restaurants right next to it, which the organisers lean on as part of the weekend’s appeal. Matthew Bain partner Morgan Cardet called the Hangar a strong setting for high-end pieces. He also pointed to the area’s growing profile, with new restaurants and rising property values . “This event is a great excuse to spend a weekend in The Grove enjoying the many restaurants on offer,” he told Coconut Grove Magazine.
What you’ll find
The show covers almost every period of jewellery history. The organisers list Renaissance, Baroque, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Retro and Modern. They also list pearls, cameos and intaglios, mourning jewellery, artist jewellery, costume pieces, and pocket and wristwatches .
Signed pieces get a lot of the attention. The show’s own descriptions name Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, David Webb, Verdura, Hermès, Tiffany & Co., Rolex and Patek Philippe [1][2][7]. Designs the organisers highlight include the Bulgari Serpenti Tubogas, Cartier’s Love and Juste un Clou bracelets, Verdura’s Maltese Cross cuffs, the Rolex Submariner and the Patek Philippe Aquanaut. Earlier examples include Georgian cluster rings, Victorian snake necklaces, Art Deco engagement rings and Retro buckle bracelets [9]. Unsigned period work is shown too, valued for its craftsmanship and provenance.
Standout pieces from previous years. The show has run only once, in 2025, and we found no published report naming individual pieces sold or shown that year. The houses and designs listed above are the kinds of pieces the organisers say the show features. They are not records of specific 2025 sales. We will add documented highlights once dealers or the press publish them.
Who exhibits
The 2025 floor plan reads like a roll call of the American estate trade [8]. Exhibitors included:
Watches: Matthew Bain, Luxury Bazaar, Elements of Time, Timekeepers in Clayton
Antique and estate jewellery: Excalibur / Beverly Hills Estate Jewelry, Hakimian Gem Co., Kodner Galleries, Faerber New York, Vock and Vintage, Periodjewels
Antique silver and objects: Richters of Palm Beach, Mathesons’ Fine Art & Antiques
Scholarship-led dealers: J.S. Fearnley, Craig Evan Small
The show’s website carries testimonials from Apex Diamonds, Vock and Vintage, Period Jewels and Premier Jewelers [1]. The 2026 exhibitor list is published on the show’s exhibitor portal.
Dealer profile: Matthew Bain, Inc.
Of all the dealers tied to the show, Miami Beach watch specialist Matthew Bain Inc. has been there from the start. The firm was quoted in the launch announcement and exhibited at the first edition. It is also a long-time exhibitor at the organiser’s sister show, the Original Miami Beach Antique Show. Worn & Wound described buying a Rolex GMT-Master “Coke” at the Bain booth there in 2019.
Matthew Bain got into watches in 1985 as a student at American University in Washington, DC. His father was a serious collector, and the hobby became a full-time business in 1989 [11]. In an interview on the Collectability podcast, he traced the turning point to a Patek Philippe World Time ref. 2523 that he and his father bought together. He says he left his bank job the next day [12]. Patek Philippe is still his speciality. He says several watches he has handled are now in the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva. The firm’s current stock leans towards vintage Rolex and Patek, such as a “Red” Submariner ref. 1680 and a Calatrava ref. 570 listed in its dealer profile.
Partner Morgan Cardet has been one of the show’s most vocal supporters. He argued that Coconut Grove needed a fall event of this level.
Glitter in the Grove: Couture Coconut Grove
In 2026 the show is the first half of a November double bill that Forge has branded “Glitter in the Grove.” The week after, on 20–22 November, the contemporary designer show Couture opens at the same Hangar. It is the first time in Couture’s 31-year history that it has been open to the public [4][13]. “We are thrilled to return to Coconut Grove to build on the success of the Coconut Grove Jewelry and Watch Show,” said Forge EVP Gannon Brousseau. Visitors can see 200 years of antique jewellery one weekend and the newest designer collections the next.
