Kit Heath is one of Britain’s best-loved silver jewellery brands — a Devon family business whose pieces are stocked by more than 300 independent jewellers across the UK. It began in 1984 with a piece of teenage improvisation: Kit Heath melted down the family silver candlesticks to make jewellery for friends, then, at eighteen, abandoned plans to join the Merchant Navy and began selling his designs to gift shops from a VW camper van. His sister Katie Nickell took the creative reins, and together the siblings built a national wholesale business from rural North Devon.
Four decades on, the coastline that shaped it still defines the aesthetic: pebbles, tumbled forms, rope twists and organic curves rendered in solid sterling silver, rhodium-plated for lasting shine and often finished with 18ct gold or rose gold plate. Collections like Bevel, Coast, Desire, Entwine and Blossom sit at genuinely accessible prices — mostly £50 to £350 — with UK hallmarking on pieces above 7.78g, a two-year guarantee, and AnchorCert Protect accreditation confirming the metal is free of 17 allergens including nickel.
The brand’s Serenity collection won Professional Jeweller’s Silver Collection of the Year in 2024, the same year it marked its fortieth anniversary. Sustainability commitments cover recycled silver, ethical sourcing and eco-friendly packaging, alongside charitable work including the Big Love Silver Heart Necklace. Founder Kit Heath died in September 2025 after being diagnosed with brain cancer; Katie continues to run the company he started, still family-owned and still in Devon.
Key products
Bevel Cirque Link Necklace — £135
The brand’s best-selling design and the piece most people picture when they think of Kit Heath. Two bevelled sterling silver circles interlock in a symbiotic link, deliberately mismatched in size so no two curves quite echo each other — softly contoured, cleanly modern, and typical of the understated confidence that defines the house style. It hangs from a delicate trace chain adjustable to 16 or 18 inches, and, like all the Bevel Cirque collection, is made in premium solid sterling silver with a highly polished, low-maintenance rhodium-plated finish.

Bevel Trilogy Three Tone Necklace
The tri-metal evolution of the signature Bevel design, and a natural gifting piece. Three interlocking rings represent past, present and future — one becoming two, becoming three — in a never-ending form that reads as a quiet statement of lasting love. What lifts it is the mix of finishes: rhodium-plated sterling silver layered with 18ct gold and rose gold plate detail, giving a warm, high-end lustre and a tactile quality that works as easily with jeans as with occasion wear. A good example of how Kit Heath delivers a considered design story at high-street prices.
